Surplus food refers to perfectly good food that is safe to consume but may not be sold by the end of the day due to overproduction, excess stock, or changing customer demand.
A Surprise Bag contains surplus food prepared by our partner merchants. The contents depend on the available food items at the time, allowing customers to discover different foods while helping reduce waste.
After placing an order, customers can collect their Surprise Bag during the stated pickup window at the merchant’s location. Customers will need to show their order confirmation when collecting.
Surprise Bags are designed to be a surprise. Customers may know the merchant and listing details before purchase, while the exact combination of items depends on surplus food available at collection time.
Interested businesses can click “Join as Partner” and submit their details through the Google Form. The SecondBite team will contact the business with the next steps.
